realXtend 0.4 with Beneath the Waves released
realXtend 0.4 has now been released. Beneath The Waves, an underwater world, offers a visual experience and a taste of realXtend's capabilities. It is the first open public realXtend world where users can experience what virtual worlds can be. The visual content of Beneath The Waves challenges the current limits of technology pushing them further.
Beneath The Waves is a world where avatars meet in a translucent underwater aquarium. The user can transform herself from a human to a fish and back. This aquarium could function as a meeting place or as a 3D business meeting environment. A coral reef offers an experience of moving underwater amongst fish without the restrictions of real world limits. Beneath The Waves includes also a narrative game that guides users to experiment with different actions and showcases how flexible realXtend could be as a free game engine.
Check out the video, look at some screenshots and follow these instructions to test Beneath The Waves.
